I am thrilled to announce that, for the very first time, I will be published in this month's issue of Canadian Gardening Magazine! In this month's edition of CGM, Rockway Gardens, located in Kitchener, is a feature garden in their article on "Inspirational and Influential Historical Gardens Around Canada". Rockway Gardens is a "seven acre floral ribbon" that once was nothing but a wasteland along the eastern side of Kitchener.
The garden, now a hot spot for photo shoots and pic-nics, employed the unemployed for it's construction during the Depression in 1933. On any given Saturday during the months between May and September, you shouldn't be surprised to find upwards of 6 or 7 groups utilizing the beautiful gardens as a backdrop for Wedding and Engagement photos.
I particularly like this space because of the diverse elements in a short walking space. It's a great location to use if you want a wide variety of baclgrounds and natural elements in a photo. Between the interesting floral arrangements, bridges and walking paths, and fountains and waterfalls - what more could you need?!
Rockway Gardens is one of a few we have profiled on Beyond The Window's website as a great location to use. Check here for some other photos of Rockway, as well as various favourite gardens we have around the KW and surrounding area.
If you have other great photo locations you would like to share, feel free to send 'em along!
